Be your own Inspiration!

Inspiration is a driving force that propels one to achieve goals and dreams. It is the first step to attaining those things in life that one’s heart truly desires. An inspired person is full of positive passion and energy that makes everything possible. Inspiration is the foundation of success, achievement and ultimately fulfillment. It thus leads to Joy, Bliss and Everlasting Happiness.

Most of us wait for inspiration to find us. In reality, we must find our own inspiration. Inspiration is different for different people. What inspires me might not inspire you and vice versa. Some may find inspiration hiding amidst the serenity of nature, for some inspiration lingers in being alone and in silence and some others may find inspiration while doing things they are passionate about. But, in the end, Inspiration has to come from within. One must inspire oneself. Yes, there can be a stimulus; like a suitable environment or setting, but until we allow it to inspire us we cannot be inspired. No one else can give us inspiration. A person could be inspiring but we need to extract the inspiration and rekindle it within us. We can draw inspiration but no one can force inspiration in us.

Let’s take an example: A friend recommends you to attend a talk/seminar by a famous and noted Inspirational speaker. Your friend claims to have achieved great inspiration and thus attain success by listening to this speaker. Even though you are not convinced, you agree to accompany your friend for one of the talks. As the talk starts you are reluctant and your mind is running somewhere else. Even though you hear the person talk you do not allow the words to assimilate and make sense in your head. The speaker’s words fall deaf on your ignorant ears. As time passes you really begin to listen, you start understanding the meaning behind the words and you begin to get inspired. The words start inspiring you. This is only possible because you allow the words to enter your mind. So, as long as you remain shut no one or nothing can inspire you. But, as soon as you let the words to knowingly enter your head, because YOU want to, they DO INSPIRE YOU!

So be your own Inspiration! Open up to the possibilities around you, open your mind to the environment around you and find inspiration within. Inspire yourself everyday to achieve your goals and reach for your dreams. Inspiration will fill you with positivity, confidence and courage… Be Inspired!
